A woman’ s prayer has been answered by the good Lord when an local court in Zambia granted her a divorce after she complained bitterly about her hubby mistreatment, and accusing her of practicing witchcraft.
It is said by a Monze Local Court Journalist that, the 34- year- old woman namely Damaless Mweenda of Freedom B Compound asked for a divorce from her hubby Mabvuto Soko whom she tied the knot with since 2007 and have three kids together.
Mweenda informed the court that her hubby has been mistreating her ever since they tied the knot, going on to say that he forces her to have s£x with him every time a fight occurs.
She added that her hubby accuses her of practicing witchcraft as he has been having difficulties when he makes an attempt to sleep with his first wife.
Commenting on the fight, the hubby claimed the source of disputes in the marriage is his ex- wife’ s reluctance to do house chores and her marital duties ever since she got a job.
He further added that he suspect her former wife of cheating because he had been finding love messages from other men in her mobile phone, which she dismisses as jokes when he query her about them.
Senior Local Magistrates Hellen Moonga and Pauline Shawa granted the ” beefing” couple a divorce, taking into account that the couple was given enough time to reconcile but failed to.
The couple is required to share their property equally and must jointly make sure that all their kids are well taken care of.
